The Center for Access and Linkage to Health Care (CALHC) in the Public Health Division provides a range of public health services in Public Health Offices (PHO) and mobile clinics across the state within four regional public health areas.

Why does the job exist?

 
The Public Health Division clinics provide clinical services at approximately 44,000 documented visits each year. This position exists to provide support and guidance to all clinical staff that use the electronic health record and provide care in the public health offices.

How does it get done?

 
This position is responsible for oversight and maintenance of the Public Health Division electronic health record.

This position will provide direct supervision of the Electronic Health Record Management Analyst and Billing Specialist.

This position is responsible for all clinical education of electronic health users in the Public Health Division.

Who are the customers?

 
Public Health Nurses and Clinicians across the center support and deliver various public health programs and clinical services such as communicable disease investigation and response, tuberculosis, STD screening and treatment, immunizations, and family planning, through advocacy, adherence to clinical protocols, standing orders and policies and procedures.

This position supports and trains all clinical users of the electronic health record in the Public Health Division.

Ideal Candidate

 
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a background in clinical education, and experience in clinical training development.

Minimum Qualification

 
Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico, or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements, or eligibility for a temporary license issued for employment at a specific institution in New Mexico and five (5) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.

Employment Requirements

 
Candidate must have an RN license in good standing

Candidate must have BLS CPR or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certification from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.

Working Conditions

 
This position will perform work in an office setting with exposure to visual/video display and extensive computer and phone usage.

This position will be expected to travel statewide to provide training and education to clinical staff.

This position will use various modalities to interact with, support, and train clinical staff, including face to face training, virtual platforms, and statewide presentations.
