Economic Stability Supervisor



The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana.

Requirements

Six years of economic stability social services experience; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of economic stability social services experience; OR

A bachelor's degree plus three years of economic stability social services experience; OR

An advanced degree in a social sciences field, business, public, or health administration plus two years of economic stability social services experience.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:

·  Supervises Social Services Analysts across a designated unit or multi-parish area by assigning, reviewing, and evaluating work performance while providing ongoing training and guidance 

·  Oversees Economic Stability programs to ensure compliance and the consistent maintenance of established performance and service standards 

·  Leads the conciliation process by investigating complaints, interviewing individuals, and facilitating resolutions related to program participation 

·  Prepares and analyzes reports on unit activities, ensuring accuracy, quality assurance, and the compilation of data and statistical information 

·  Provides staff development by orienting employees, conducting trainings, and leading conferences to enhance skills and overall efficiency 

·  Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with local, state, and federal partners across public and private sectors 

·  Interprets and applies complex laws, regulations, policies, and program directives, and may support appeals by preparing documentation and summaries of evidence

Compensation: This position is eligible for the following Special Entrance Rates (SER), as well as a Premium Pay of up to $2.00/hr for hours worked based on longevity. 

Economic Stability Supervisor - $24.35 hr / $1,948.00 bi-weekly
