Take a leadership role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of Louisiana’s Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP). As a Quality Control Supervisor, you will oversee one of the state’s three QC Units, guiding audits that directly impact state and federal funding while measuring and reporting agency performance and payment accuracy.

Requirements

Seven years of economic stability social services experience; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus four years of economic stability social services experience; OR

A bachelor's degree plus four years of economic stability social services experience; OR

An advanced degree in a social sciences field, business, public, or health administration plus three years of economic stability social services experience.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:
  • Plan, organize, direct, implement, and evaluate Quality Control activities to ensure compliance with federal and state SNAP regulations and maintain program integrity.
  • Oversee and participate in federal, state, and legislative audits, including USDA Food and Nutrition Service reviews, ensuring accurate reporting, timely responses, and adherence to all audit requirements.
  • Supervise and provide training, performance evaluations, and guidance to Quality Control staff, including workflow management, adherence to deadlines, and professional development planning.
  • Collaborate with agency colleagues, Quality Control management, and statisticians to develop annual sampling plans, implement program improvements, and provide technical assistance for federal reporting.
  • Prepare detailed analytical reports and responses for federal and state reviews, audits, and Quality Control findings, including special reports such as Elderly/Disabled waiver reviews and Disaster SNAP (DSNAP) evaluations.
  • Monitor, review, and interpret new or revised federal and state policies, ensuring timely training and communication to Program Consultants, Specialists, and other agency staff to support compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Represent management in meetings, conferences, and programmatic functions, providing technical expertise, guidance on corrective actions, and support for Quality Assurance initiatives statewide.
