Dietitian Supervisor (Vacancy)

Responsible for supervising the work of Dietitians and Dietetic Technicians in the provision of WIC Program services in multiple WIC clinic locations throughout Franklin County. Function as a member of the WIC Management Team in providing overall direction for WIC Program management and strategic planning.



Requirements

(Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all of the duties that may be performed.)
 

Supervises professional and support staff in their performance of clinic duties, to include approving/disapproving leave requests and/or initiating disciplinary action;


Conducts regular staff meetings with employees;


Monitors and directs clinic staff regarding the application of departmental, state, and federal policies and procedures; performs chart audits for quality assurance;


Trains new employees and conducts in-service training for all employees;


Completes yearly performance appraisals on employees;


Evaluates medical information and nutritional status data for determining medical/nutritional risk criteria for WIC program eligibility;


Provides nutrition education to WIC participants;


Prescribes appropriate WIC food package to participants;


Provides back-up support for all onsite positions in the event of the absence of regular clinic staff;


Maintains contact with satellite sites within geographic area of supervision;


Assists the WIC program administrator and contracting program managers in program development and administration;


Plans, organizes, and conducts educational programs in dietetics and nutrition for Dietitians and other clinic staff;


Responds to, and provides leadership for, public health emergencies and significant events.

Qualifications

Three (3) years of experience working as a registered Dietitian, or three (3) years of experience working as a State of Ohio licensed Dietitian.


Possession of a valid State of Ohio licensure as a Dietitian within forty-five (45) days of hire.


Possession of a valid driver’s license.
