Main Purpose of Job

The Clinical Director serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Thomas B. Finan Center and is the senior clinical/medical executive responsible for the leadership, oversight, and strategic direction of all clinical and medical services. This position provides and ensures the delivery of safe, high quality, recovery-oriented, and legally sound patient care across a complex 24/7 environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a degree in medicine (MD) from an accredited college or university, possess Board Certification in Psychiatry and have two years of medical practice in psychiatry, preferably at a supervisory or administrative level.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess: Leadership experience and a team-oriented approach Experience providing psychiatric care in an inpatient setting Forensic experience

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Applicants for this classification must be board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Medical Specialties, or other Board approved by the Maryland Board of Physicians. Applicants for this classification must be licensed by title by the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State Law. A copy of your current Maryland medical license and board certification should be attached to the application.
