Administrative Program Specialist A

Division: Medical Services Department 

The Mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions, jail based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long term psychiatric are in coordination with the total system of care in Louisiana.

ELMHS is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and positive individual to join our team as an Administrative Program Specialist.

Requirements

Three years of experience in administrative services; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR

A bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor Implementation of Code Blue Bag Policies
  • Select and Acquire Medical Equipment
  • Establish written criteria to identify, evaluate, and inventory biomedical equipement
  • Create and update maintenance schedules and service records
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: The position may be filled as a Probational appointment (open to all qualified applicants); a promotion (open to all statewide classified and Agency wide permanent status employees); by Detail to Special Duty; or as a part-time, temporary WAE. Current permanent status, classified employees may be required to accept a Probational appointed if selected. If filled as a Job Appointment, there is a possibility that this position may be converted to a Probational Appointment should funding become available.
Compensation: This position has a Minimum Hire Rate: $1,443.20 bi-weekly/ $18.04 hourly.
