Administrative Program Specialist A

The Mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions, jail based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long term psychiatric are in coordination with the total system of care in Louisiana.

ELMHS is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and positive individual to join our team as an Administrative Program Specialist A!

Requirements

Three years of experience in administrative services; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR

A bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:

In this role, you will:

  • Be designated as the ELMHS Telecommunications Coordinator with direct oversight and management over all ELMHS telecommunication needs.

  • Develop plans to meet the needs of the System’s staff, patients, visitors, and other consumers of communications.

  • Create and maintain a detailed inventory list of radios, cell phones, telephones, fax machines, printers, leased/owned/borrowed computers and computer-related equipment and other equipment assigned through or to the ELMHS that include but not limited to location, name of staff assigned, make, model, serial number/IMEI, and maintenance schedule.

  • Coordinate with ELMHS Telecommunication Liaisons to accept the responsibility of securing staff has received the LDH Acceptable Usage document upon receiving.

  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure effective operations in postal operations.

  • Collaborate with Admin Prog Mgr to make decisions regarding day to day activities in and serves as a technical specialist in postal operations.

  • Serve as an ELMHS Property Coordinator to assist with the annual physical inventory.
