ACCOUNTING TECHICIAN - PATIENT FUNDS

We’re seeking an Accounting Technician to serve as an assistant for the Accounting / Billing functions for CLHSD and assist with the day-to-day operations and recovery of all available revenue for behavioral health services provided in an effort to maximize collections and eliminate duplication of payment and possible fraud.

Requirements

Three years of experience or training in accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, or financial operations or computations.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.

  • Responsible for ensuring that accurate patient demographics, financial, insurance, and other information needed for billing and verification of patient eligibility are correct.
  • Reconciliations on billing, collections, pending claims, rejections,and  errors to ensure payment.
  • Assist with billing audits and investigations to ensure compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, Third Party Payer, and Federal & State requirements.
