SPECIALTY CARE CLAIMS/ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE DUTIES:
•    Bills Specialty Care claims in HMS.
•    Generates and reviews unbilled records and provided client services in HMS using Crystal reports/Info view, daily. 
•    Reviews client information in HMS to verify client’s Primary Care Health Plan eligibility status. 
•    Verifies client PCHP eligibility in CHEDAS. 
•    Verifies client’s Medicaid eligibility status. Updates the insurance screen and notepad in HMS. 
•    Generates provider statements for Accounts Payable section to reimburse the provider. 
•    Reconciles contract as set up in HMS with amount billed in HMS for each Specialty Provider. 
•    Retrieves claims and/or medical notes from the eFax systems. 
•    Works closely with the utilization Management team to resolve billing issues. 
•    Monitors and documents errors in appropriate spreadsheets for tracking purposes and identify trends. 
•    Updates Medicaid and Medicare fee schedules in HMS, as needed.
•    Enters services in HMS, generates authorizations for post-authorized claims and other. 
•    Generate, reviews unbilled records and provided client services in HMS using Crystal reports/Info view, daily. 
•    Reviews client information in HMS to re-verify client’s Primary Care Health Plan eligibility status, updates the insurance screen and the HMS notepad with accurate information each time. 
•    Generate provider statements for Accounts Payable to submit reimbursement to providers. 
•    Set up Specialty Provider’s contract as in HMS, reconcile as needed. 
•    Work closely with the utilization Management team to resolve billing issues.

Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
 
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•    Utilization of equipment, required for the position
•    Ability to use Facsimile, copier and personal computer.
•    Understanding of Microsoft Office-Windows, Excel, Word
•    Understanding of basic grammar, written sentence’s structure and paragraphs in work related documents.
•    Ability to gather information, knowledge of how to research various State web sites to search policies and procedures, identifying essential information needed to perform assigned duties and complete daily assignments.
•    Basic mathematics knowledge.
•    Proficient typing skills and data entry
•    Strong organizational skills.
•    Time Management skills is a must.
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•    Displays excellent phone etiquette, a friendly and polite tone.
•    Demonstrates excellent customer services skills.
•    Demonstrates the ability to work independently, work well with others and be a team player.
 
Qualifications:
Minimum
•    High school Diploma
•    3 years or more experience in Microsoft Office, for example ability to complete work in Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
•    3 years or more of experience in Account Receivables

Preferred: 
•    More than 2 years of knowledge of and/or experience working in the Department of Health Billing Portal.
•    More than 2 years of knowledge of verifying client insurance in the Florida Medicaid System or use of other insurance verification/eligibility web portals.
•    More than 2 years of knowledge of reviewing and analyzing outstanding accounts receivables.
