We are looking for a dedicated Louisiana Licensed ABA Therapist to provide ABA Services for the people we support..

Minimum qualifications:
A Louisiana License /Certification to practice ABA.
Qualifications
Job Concepts:
Provide direct ABA services to facility residents and guidance to residents’ Interdisciplinary Teams on ABA-informed principles and strategies.
May conduct PEAK assessments, complete descriptive functional analyses, conduct sensory assessments, provide treatment using various modalities, develop/increase functional communication training, analyzing written and audio/video data and conduct direct observations to identify and develop innovative ABA-informed strategies.
May provide consultation support to the on-site Special School District to promote continuity of care and alignment with ABA principles across settings.
May assist with facilitation of transition to community living settings for residents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, and development of higher-level supports at the individual IDT level.
Job duties and other information:
Examples of Work:
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ABA therapy-related program development, development of staff training curriculum, development of training curriculum/workshops for family members of residents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, etc.
- Provide virtual training/workshops for family members of residents.
- Provide training to employees from various departments at Pinecrest introducing acceptance and commitment therapy, behavioral activation, behavioral parent training, and other ABA therapy-related topics.
- Collaborate with Day Services leadership and supervisors to strengthen training provided to residents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders in Day Program settings based on ABA principles.
- Collaborate with Active Treatment staff, Staff Training personnel, and Speech Therapy personnel to develop and increase Functional Communication Training curricula for residents, staff, and residents’ family members.
- Research, explore, identify and guide the facility in implementation of specific therapeutic training modalities that will be beneficial to residents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Professional Conduct:
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively while displaying professional ethics.
- Keep abreast of new trends, approaches, techniques and teaching strategies and attend in-service workshops as mandated by local policies or legislative acts.
- Attend faculty, staff, and administrative and/or professional meetings as required by the supervisor and demonstrate reliability and punctuality in attendance and in meeting obligations.
