Why does the job exist?

 
Incumbent will administer the operation of the Staff Development.

How does it get done?

 
Incumbent will be responsible for but not limited to the directives of the Staff Development. Develop, maintain, and implement specific classes and programs to meet facility licensing and certification and The Joint Commission (TJC) criteria needs.

DOH/SATC staff.

Ideal Candidate

 
Ideal candidate will have:
Experience working in policies and procedures;
Experience working with training;
Experience working as a supervisor;
Experience working with programing, licensing, certification, and TJC.

Minimum Qualification

 
Associate degree in any field and two (2) years of experience in training, staff development, designing courses, and/or producing instructional aids/materials. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements

 
Must possess and maintain a Valid Driver's License. Employment is subject to an employment background investigation and is conditional pending results.

Working Conditions

 
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and telephone usage with extend periods of sitting, driving and standing. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Working conditions for individuals will vary based on specific needs of the state agencies. All requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.
