Requirements
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Certified Social Worker (CSW) plus:A master's degree in social work.
NOTE:
Permanent status will not be granted in this job title without LMSW or LCSW licensure in Louisiana; Certified Social Worker (CSW) credential will not be accepted for granting permanent status.
Qualifications

- Provides direct clinical services to individuals, families, and groups using appropriate therapeutic modalities.
- Offers case consultation to case managers and other agency providers regarding individual clients.
- Conducts risk assessments and psychosocial evaluations on crisis cases; assists psychiatrists/medical providers in determining appropriate treatment or disposition.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulatory standards, as well as CLHSD policies and procedures.
- Participates in the Quality Assurance (QA) process to ensure all standards are met.
- Assists in the implementation and ensures ongoing compliance with CARF standards.
- Administers Child and Adolescent Functional Analysis Screen for Flexible Family Fund Program. (ACT 378)
- Develops Safety Plans on Adult Behavioral Health clients as needed
- Coordinates and manages orientation and aftercare for clients recently discharged from inpatient psychiatric hospitalization and referred to the clinic for services.
- Completes required initial paperwork for new clients.
- Prepares discharge summaries and completes chart closures in the electronic health record system.
- Serves as back-up to the Social Service Counselor 3 (Position #128981).
- Participates in clinic-wide or regional committees, planning, and management teams as directed by the Adult Services

Appointment Type: This position may be filled by probational appointment.
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Social Worker 1, 2, or 3.Location: This vacancy is located at the Central Louisiana Human Services District's Caring Choices Clinic.
Compensation: This position offers the below starting rates for each level:
- Social Worker 1 - $18.38/hourly; $1,470.40/bi-weekly.
- Social Worker 2 - $19.67/hourly; $1,573.60/bi-weekly.
- Social Worker 3 - $21.05/hourly; $1,684.00/bi-weekly.
**Note regarding the advertised pay range: The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
