GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
As a Public Health Nurse serving Big Horn County, you’ll have the opportunity to lead community health initiatives in Greybull and surrounding towns across the Big Horn Basin. Public Health Nursing here goes beyond traditional care—you’ll play a critical role in improving access to health services, educating the public, and strengthening the overall health of rural Wyoming communities.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with families, schools, community partners, and local agencies to deliver preventive services, assess public health needs, and connect residents with essential healthcare resources.

- Conduct nursing assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and evaluations in line with ANA's Public Health Nursing Standards.
- Arrange and lead community health clinics and health education classes.
- Support public health core functions, prioritizing services that meet community needs.
- Administer adult and child vaccines, provide STI/HIV testing, manage TB testing, and more.
- Provide Ryan White case management, maternal and child home visitation, lactation counseling, and LT-101 reviews.
- Collaborate with the nurse manager and public health response coordinator on emergency preparedness activities.
Requirements
PREFERENCES/**AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
**Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming.
**Driver's license required.

Qualifications
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to:
- Lift/transfer patients to different positions.
- Lift medical/patient equipment of varying sizes and weights up to about 50 lbs.
- Restrain clients for treatments, climb stairs to patient homes, and drive long distances.
- Travel throughout the state and to national conferences if requested.
- Work evenings, nights, and /or weekends when the situation requires it.
