Nurse 4 - Office of Epidemiology & Prevention Services - Kanawha Co.

The purpose of this position is to provide direct oversight to the Clinical Quality Management program within the Ryan White Part B program. This position performs professional and administrative functions and is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating the activities of the HIV Clinical Quality Management plan and the evaluation of outcomes. The CQM is also responsible for ensuring grant and Health Resources and Services Administration regulatory requirements are met as it pertains to clinical quality management. This position also supervises other staff within the program. Provides overall direction and leads the statewide RWPB clinical quality program. Plans, develops, implements, coordinates CQM committee activities and ensures continuous quality improvement of the program. Develops and/or revises the CQM plan and evaluates the quality management activities. Assists with preparation of grant and reporting to meet requirements of the grant. Develops tracking tools and reviews quality assurance plans of sub-grantees providing training and assistance to sub-grantees and/or other partners relative to their quality assurance plans/activities. Conducts statewide monitoring visits to sub-grantees, conducts clinical record review for compliance with clinical practice standards, and develops feedback report to grantees. Develops and implements clinical resource materials, documents, protocols, and other training/educational materials. Serves as technical support providing clinical consultation, training and technical assistance to sub-grantees, healthcare personnel, organizations, community partners, individuals who provide services to those living with HIV. Collaborates with community providers and others for new projects and initiatives. Maintain current knowledge of clinical practice guidelines and distributes information to clinical provider and others assuring that their services adhere to HIV clinical practice standards.

Qualifications

Training: Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a registered professional nurse.  
OR
 Successful completion of an Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university or a diploma nursing program and six years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a registered professional nurse.  
OR
 Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.  
 
Special Requirement: Current West Virginia license or temporary permit to practice as a registered professional nurse.
