Why does the job exist?

 
This position will provide day-to-day Human Resources support to staff at Los Lunas Community Program.  Incumbent will be responsible for classification, compensation, recruitment related matters and serve as a backup for payroll duties. Incumbent will also ensure that duties are processed timely and in accordance with all established policies & procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements.

How does it get done?

 
The key responsibilities for this position are to: review, analyze and make recommendations on compensation and classification transactions; process all recruitment transactions; and backup payroll.  These duties are done by utilizing the Kronos Timekeeping System, SHARE System, and other department forms and processes.

Our customers include adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), members of their support teams, all Los Lunas Community Program (LLCP) staff, and other stakeholders.

Minimum Qualification

 
Bachelor's degree in any field and one (1) year of experience in human resource operations; recruitment, selection, payroll, compensation and benefits administration, labor relations, investigations, HR related training experience, and/or occupational analysis. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements

 
Employment is subject to criminal background check and is conditional pending results. Successful completion of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) course.

Working Conditions

 
The incumbent may be exposed to unpredictable violent behavior of the resident.  Exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching are essential functions of this job.
