The Director of the Division of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD), HIV, Hepatitis and Tuberculosis (TB) (DSHHT) is responsible for leadership and management of the HIV Care Program, HIV Prevention Program, HIV Care Program, HIV Prevention Program, HIV and Viral Hepatitis Surveillance Program, STD Program, Field Operations/Partner Services Program, and the TB Program. Manages a very large division (74 staff) that includes disease surveillance, case investigation, linkage to care, clinical services and treatment.  The position is responsible for the fiscal and administrative management of 7 different programs, several of which are multi-million-dollar programs.  Manages 9 federal and state funding streams including personnel, contracts, sub recipients, and procurements.  Interacts effectively with national and state officials on the granting and use of federal funds for program and administrative needs and serves as the Overall Responsible Party (ORP) and accepts overall statewide responsibility for implementing and enforcing HIV, STD, TB, and viral hepatitis security standards and practices.

Qualifications

Training: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
OR
Substitution: Additional experience as described below may substitute for the required training at a rate of one (1) year of experience for every thirty (30) semester hours of training.
AND
Experience: Five (5) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience, two (2) years of which must have been in a program administration capacity.
OR
Substitution: Graduate course work from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute at the rate of fifteen (15) semester hours of training for one (1) year of experience.
