Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position serves as the Specialty Care provider liaison with the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintains a list of contracted specialists and keeps agency and County staff apprised of changes.
  • Communicates any agreement related problems that may arise with Medical Director.
  • Arranges meetings and participates in various meetings for Specialty Care.
  • Coordinates process and documentation for specialty referrals related to charity cases and Neurosurgery.
  •  Assists with purchasing duties to support the specialty care office.
  • Oversees all specialty care provider agreements. 
  • Routes agreements through the appropriate review process.
  • Monitors agreements for extensions or renewal according to established procedure.
  • Creates and manages purchase requisitions in My Florida Market Place.
  • Submits CAPS and other access requests for specialty providers.
  • Creates correspondence to specialty providers.
  • Establishes health exemptions for assigned agreements.
  • Reviews and approves specialty provider invoices.
  • Tracks budget expenditures and provides input and recommendations for budget.
  • Assists with duties to support specialty care related billing, including insurance verification and obtaining, faxing, scanning and/or importing medical records.
  • Communicates and collaborates with management and staff internal and external to the agency
  • Creates and maintains relationships with specialty providers and practices, including identifying partnership opportunities and establishing points of contact Conducts outreach to specialty providers.
  • Serves as the liaison for contracted specialists and all matters concerning their agreements.

 Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:

Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments 

Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others.

Ability to type and/or in a keyboard control data input device, adding machine and utilize other office equipment.

Ability to follow instructions.

Ability to review data for accuracy and completeness.  

Ability to meet and maintain minimum production requirements for speed and accuracy.

Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience creating and developing invoices within the last 2 years
  • Proficiency using Microsoft office programs to include MS Word,Ms Excel,  Power Point
  • Experience working in a medical or clinic office setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience managing state contracts and purchase orders.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • State of Florida certified contract manager
