Why does the job exist?

 
The purpose of this position is to assist the program with revenue collections that are under the Vaccine Purchase Act (VPA) fund which ranges from $18-$20 million annually. Duties consist of mailing and e-mailing invoices to insurers for collection of funds. Payment reminders by phone and e-mail are performed for 100% of collections for the billing quarters. This position also enters consent forms into the outreach billing platform for revenue collection of administration fees for vaccine outreach efforts. This outreach fund source collects from $200K-$400K annually in other revenue funds to procure adult vaccines.

How does it get done?

 
Provide clerical support to ensure timely filing of billing claims are submitted for reimbursement and payments to the Vaccine Purchase Act are collected quarterly, maintain office files, supplies, forms, and performs other assigned clerical tasks to ensure smooth and efficient clerical operations to the Immunization Program.

Ideal Candidate

 
High School Diploma or Equivalent and one and a half (1.5) years experience in office administration and/or customer service.
High School Diploma or Equivalent and three (3) months experience in office administration and/or customer service.
Associate's degree and zero years of experience

Minimum Qualification

 
High School diploma or equivalent and three (3) months experience in office administration and/or customer service. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) months may substitute for the required experience.

Employment Requirements

 
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.

Working Conditions

 
Office setting, exposure to VDT, extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some travel may be required. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.  Must have valid NM driver's license and certification of Defensive Driving training after hire.
