EMS Education and Licensing Coordinator 2025-00624
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for maintaining Wyoming EMS clinician and ambulance service licensing and providing compliance activities within the Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) in accordance with W.S. 33-36-101 et. seq. and for the comprehensive EMS and Trauma System as established by Wyoming Statute 35-1-801 et. seq. The position provides support and training to EMS clinicians for the OEMS electronic data systems. Ensures contractors meet obligations and develops systems in support of Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) needs. Act as liaison between vendors and Wyoming entities. Provides secondary support to the Wyoming Ambulance Trip Reporting System (WATRS) and Wyoming Trauma Program Patient Registry reporting systems. Provides requested data reports to the EMS, Trauma, and Hospital Preparedness Programs. Generate reports in support of other investigative matters within the Office of EMS. Provide data in support of other Department efforts (e.g. public health surveillance).

- Provides project coordination for the Online Wyoming Licensure System, including reviewing and processing applications, contract development/maintenance of electronic systems, and maintenance and development of the online licensure system.
- Provides coordination and guidance for the EMS education programs within Wyoming.
- Assist with compliance-related activities including investigations, report generation, and call review.
- Provides secondary support to the Wyoming Ambulance and Trip Reporting System (WATRS).
- Support for office and office-related activities including presentations, conferences, workshops, and incident management.
- Represents the Wyoming Office of Emergency Medical Services to a variety of organizations and meetings.
- Assist other OEMS staff members with projects/tasks as needed and other duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
PREFERENCES:
Preference will be given to candidates with EMS education experience, and current and valid Wyoming EMS Licensure.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Ability to adapt to the ever-changing medical processes, Ex, documentation & medical care.
- Understanding of disease and injury processes along with treatment modalities.
- Ability to interpret and enforce rules and statutes.
- Knowledge of licensing processes.
- Ability to communicate clearly to varied audiences in both written and oral form.
- Ability to understand and present solutions.
- Ability to provide customer support and technical assistance.
- Ability to identify/investigate EMS provider compliance.
- General knowledge required for Information Technology processes and troubleshooting computers/software for support and directing improvements.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Graphic software, etc.
- Data analysis for creating reports, charts, and more.
