Position Overview

The Division of Family and Community Services is seeking to hire an Accuracy Control Analyst to review and interpret case review findings and completes data analysis of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) accuracy control reviews. This position provides comprehensive follow up reviews and verifies compliance with federal and state laws, rules, and regulations; reviews, analyzes, and research SNAP errors and evaluates methods for the purpose of reducing the statewide SNAP payment error rate.

Essential Functions

  • Serves as Accuracy Control Analyst.

  • Reviews management and research analysis of SNAP errors identified in case reviews.

  • Provides administrative support on special accuracy control projects.

  • Performs specialized assignments.

  • Aligns program operations, working with staff to integrate policies and practices.

  • Serves as a technical resource to operate and access computer files and system queries.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned with are reasonably within the scope of duties listed above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration.

  • Requires one (1) year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization OR completion of an agency approved professional management training program.

Specialized Skills

  • Of the one (1) year of required responsible administrative experience, requires one (1) year of experience working with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) policy, procedures, eligibility or reporting requirements of benefits in service delivery, such as in casework, policy, training, or conducting case reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of experience working with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) policy, procedures, eligibility or reporting requirements of benefits in service delivery, such as in casework, policy, training, or conducting case reviews.

  • One (1) year professional experience performing comprehensive, detailed, analytical and investigative case record reviews, determining compliance with Federal SNAP, and State regulations.

  • One (1) year professional experience presenting and preparing reports using Microsoft Office Suite and interpreting review findings and agency policy effectively in writing.

  • Two (2) years of professional experience exercising judgement and discretion in developing, implementing, and interpreting departmental policies and procedures.

  • One (1) year of professional experience analyzing a Nutritional Assistance Program, such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), payment accuracy and timeliness problems through corrective action planning.

  • One (1) year of professional experience organizing, distributing, and monitoring workflow and desired outcomes.

Conditions of Employment

  • Requires basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and a public assistance eligibility system such as the Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES).
