Senior Project Manager

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll oversee highly complex and urgent projects, ensuring their successful completion while providing expert guidance and consultation to senior leaders both within and outside the Department of Health.
These positions will sit within the Project Management Office (PMO) as part of the Executive Office of Innovation and Technology and will be pivotal partners to our “Be Well, WA” program team. Your responsibilities will include independently developing innovative project management strategies aligned with agency goals, fostering partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and embedding the mission and values of DOH into all project management activities. You'll also manage project portfolios, provide project management education and training, and ensure project quality assurance.
You will manage state-wide projects, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and closure. Additionally, you'll supervise and mentor junior project management staff, as well as procure and manage contract project management-related resources. These two Senior Project Manager positions will be instrumental in driving successful project outcomes, building project management capacity across the agency, and supporting the overall mission of the organization by ensuring effective project delivery aligned with agency goals and priorities.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 5 years of hands-on project management experience in various areas such as IT, facilities, service delivery, operational support, Government, or organizational change.
