The Regional Medical Director (RMD) is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, and directing regional public health activities for Public Health Region (PHR) 9/10, which spans 33 West Texas counties. The RMD is responsible for:
- All department program activities assigned within the region.
- Providing public health and medical consultation to physicians and local health department personnel regarding public health issues.
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with city, county, state and federal officials, and independent local public health entities within the region.

Graduate degree from a US accredited medical college.
Experience in organizational management and leadership including hiring, performance management, counseling, etc.
Experience working in public health or with public health related activities.
Experience with federal, state, or local government is preferred.
