PH Licensed Practical Nurse 1 or 2
Location: Fannin County Health Dept. -Blue Ridge, Ga
Requirements
Under direct supervision, provides assistance to public health nurses and county programs. Provides care related to PH programs including Child Health, Family Planning, HIV, TB, Immunizations etc..
- Under general supervision, provides direct patient care, which includes screenings, administering vaccines, provides triage of clients within lab setting providing vital signs, drawing of blood, collects samples, administers laboratory tests within PH programs.
- Assists in completing monthly/quarterly reports and immunization audits.
- Prepares to respond to public health emergencies and responds as directed.
- Maintains clinic inventory for supplies & vaccines.
- Uses computer technology to collect, store and retrieve data.
- Communicates in writing orally and through electronic means.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited LPN/ LVN School of Licensed Practical Nursing AND Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse AND CPR certification AND Completion of all necessary orientation and training for Public Health LPN. No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Public Health Dept. experience
- Knowledge of vaccines.
