Paramedic- Utah State Hospital

The Agency
We are a mission-driven, state-of-the-art inpatient psychiatric facility, fully accredited from the Joint Commission and Centers for Medicaid and Medicare, certifying the high quality of the Hospital's environment and treatment programs.

Requirements

Typical duties:
  • Utilize the Medication Administration Record to administer medications and treatments to patients 
  • Document medication administration and manage controlled substance counts during shift
  • Complete patient assessments and provide patient monitoring as indicated. 
  • Document in an accurate and timely manner
  • Coordinate with the treatment team 
  • Follow policies and procedures while providing care

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:
  • A current valid Paramedic license from the Utah Office of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness

  • Department of Human Resource Management rules and DHHS policies regarding promotions and transfers apply to current employees.
