Licensed Practical Nurse- Utah State Hospital

Requirements

Do you enjoy providing patients with care that enhances their quality of life as an LPN? Some duties include:

  • Utilize the Medication Administration Record to administer medications and treatments to patients 
  • Document medication administration and manage controlled substance counts during shift
  • Complete patient assessments and provide patient monitoring as indicated. 
  • Document in an accurate and timely manner. 
  • Coordinate with the treatment team 
  • Follow policies and procedures while providing care

Qualifications

Qualifications: 
  • Registered as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Utah.
  • You must successfully pass a criminal history check.

  • Risks which require the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with contagious diseases or hazardous chemicals, etc.
  • Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
  • Risks found in potentially dangerous or unusual environmental stress situations, e.g. being subject to possible physical attack, etc.)
  • Tobacco use is only allowed in designated areas on the campus grounds.
