Food Service Worker

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking a Food Service Worker to join the team at the Independence Mental Health Institute (IMHI). This is a full-time position with HHS and offers opportunity for advancement, growth, and development.
 
As a member of the Dietary Department of the Institute, the Food Service Worker performs manual food service work in the serving of meals and cleaning of dietary items and areas, and performs related work as required. This position assists in setting up food service lines, hot food carts, and special trays, and assists in serving food on the tray line, living units, and wards.
 
IMHI provides inpatient treatment and acute psychiatric services. If you enjoy helping people connect with adult, children and family services, health coverage, mental health treatment, disabilities services and long-term care, this is a great opportunity to consider.
