Case Manager

As a Case Manager (HSC3), you’ll coordinate the complaint response process relating to allegations of violations of the Washington Uniform Disciplinary Act (UDA).

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating the complaint response process for health care professionals relating to allegations of the UDA violations, including those related to an applicant’s qualifications under RCW 18.130.055. Maintaining accurate and thorough records of decisions made by the disciplining authority.
    • Conducting initial review of reports in preparation for disciplining authority’s initial assessment decision.  
    • Monitoring case activities and tracking the case through final resolution.  
    • Identifying required participants for Case Management Team’s (CMT) and panels and scheduling presentation of new complaints to these for initial authorization for investigation.  
    • Presenting to the disciplining authority a concise and accurate summary of the information contained in the case file to include the results from all the above research and analysis. Facilitating and leading discussions ensuring that a sound and defensible decision is made.
    • Coordinating review of completed investigative reports for board and/or commission-regulated professions.  
    • For secretary-regulated professions, reviewing the completed investigation report and providing a complete and concise summary of the report and recommendation on case disposition to the disciplining authority.  
  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and administration of agency, division, office, and/or profession-specific statutes, rules, policies, and/or procedures that relate to the complaint response and disciplinary process.
  • Option 1: Six (6) or more years of management or consultative experience in a health services program.  Examples of a health services program include, but are not limited to, healthcare administration, reimbursement, planning, rule or legislative implementation, government programs, etc.
  • Option 2: An associate degree or higher; AND four (4) or more years of management or consultative experience in a health services program. Examples of a health services program include, but are not limited to, healthcare administration, reimbursement, planning, rule or legislative implementation, government programs, etc.
  • Option 3: A bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, public administration, law, public health, health administration or a related field; AND two (2) or more years of management or consultative experience in a health services program.  Examples of a health services program include, but are not limited to, healthcare administration, reimbursement, planning, rule or legislative implementation, government programs, etc.
