 Working out of the Adjudicative Clerk Office (ACO) the Adjudicative Clerk supports the Department of Health's goal of protecting and enhancing public health in Washington by overseeing adjudication and data bank reporting services for various health-related activities. Responsibilities include administering the adjudication process, issuing decisions on license suspensions, and serving as an agency-wide expert in adjudicative matters. The role ensures patient safety by navigating legal processes for regulated health professionals and facilities.

This full-time permanent Health Services Consultant 2 (HSC2) has a duty station in Tumwater, WA. A combination of in-office and telework is currently expected. It is anticipated that the incumbent would be expected at the duty station for work activities 1-2 days weekly.

Required Qualifications 

Experience defined below may have been gained through paid or unpaid activities. Please ensure any relevant experience defined below is outlined in your cover letter, resume, and/or applicant profile. 

 

Three (3) or more years of experience in a complaint, disciplinary, or enforcement program that includes. 

  • Two (2) years of experience working in a regulatory government agency in areas such as credentialing, licensing, enforcement, and investigations processes.
  • Two (2) years of experience resolving customer inquiries, problems, and complaints or working with the public directly.

AND

Three (3) or more years of experience using computer software to do the following:

  • MS Word or other word processing software to create and format, forms, documents, or reports.
  • MS Excel or other spreadsheet software to create and manipulate large or complex spreadsheets and data.
  • MS Outlook or other email systems to compose, send, and respond to e-mail as well as coordinate schedules and schedule meetings.
  • Update, manage, or maintain records using an electronic database system.

Desired Qualifications 

  • Experience within the adjudicative process working with multiple parties and maintaining confidentiality.
  • At least 1 year of experience analyzing data, and reports, and making recommendations based upon the analysis.

Conditions of Employment/Working Conditions
