$34,320 - $51,480 Annually

Why does the job exist?

 
Incumbent audit confidential charts regularly for completeness including presence of all necessary documents and signatures for our Long Term Care Unit. Incumbent will assure additional blank forms are place in chart and stamped with addressograph as need arises; review incoming reports/documents daily for resident identification data and Treatment.

How does it get done?

 
Incumbent will sort incoming confidential reports/documents by resident; retrieve appropriate resident chart and file incoming reports/documents in standard chart order; return record/chart to designated area file according to applicable filing system.

Ideal Candidate

 
Ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with clerical duties;
Experience working with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA);
Experience in auditing confidential charts;
Experience with transmitting patients orders for processing.

Minimum Qualification

 
High School diploma or equivalent and three (3) months experience working in a hospital setting using medical terminology, processing and maintaining a medical records system, and/or use of Microsoft Office programs and hospital clinical software. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) months may substitute for the required experience.

Employment Requirements

 
Must possess a valid New Mexico driver's license.

Working Conditions

 
Work is performed in an office setting, long hours of sitting and extreme computer use required, working in a very high stress level environment, must be able to lift/move a minimum of 25 lbs., may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
