The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Health Educator 1 (Nutritionist) within the Fulton County Board of Health in the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Division.


Please note:  This is a  grant-funded position.

Job Responsibilities

Under supervision, plan and conduct food service or nutritional programs to assist in the promotion of health and control of disease. Provides nutritional assessment, education and counseling to individuals, groups, or the public. Serves as a resource on nutrition and dietetics to other health providers in the facility. 


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education, social, behavioral, or biological sciences or a directly related field from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications
Degree in dietetics, human nutrition, food and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management or a closely related field from an accredited college or university from an Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics accredited program. ** Must have at minimum 18 hours in Nutrition Education from an accredited college.

Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.     Fulton County Board of Health accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered.
