Nature of Work

Under limited supervision and collaborative guidance of the Health and Human Resources Office Director 3 (Office of Maternal, Child and Family Health Office Director), this position performs complex administrative and professional work at the advanced level with responsibility for programmatic oversight of various aspects of the State Title V Agency and its six divisions. Responsibilities include formulating plans, programs, systems and procedures for the operation of the OMCFH and its current state funding, 23 federal funding sources, and its over 25 programs, projects and initiatives, related to maternal and child health. Work requires frequent contact outside the agency to advise and influence others on important matters; issues may be controversial in nature. Control is exercised through Division Directors and/or Program Managers. Serves as the State Title V Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) Director. Performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Training: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
OR
Substitution: Additional experience as described below may substitute for the required training at a rate of one (1) year of experience for every thirty (30) semester hours of training.
AND
Experience: Five (5) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience, two (2) years of which must have been in a program administration capacity.
OR
Substitution: Graduate course work from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute at the rate of fifteen (15) semester hours of training for one (1) year of experience.
